The Cholmeleian Society, which is named after the School’s founder Sir Roger Cholmeley, was formed in 1893.
Its main purpose is to enable former pupils of Highgate School to maintain lifelong contact with the School and their contemporaries, as well as a much wider circle of Cholmeleians. The second and equally important aim is to provide the opportunity for Cholmeleians to participate in a wide range of business, social and sporting activities.
The Society currently has more than 7,000 members worldwide. |

Sunday 20 April 2008
The 115th Annual General Meeting of The Cholmeleian Society took place at The School on Sunday 20 April 2008. The meeting was attended by over 50 Cholmeleian’s and many were accompanied by their partners. The resolutions and formal parts of the meeting were all passed and if any one would like to see the minutes please contact Viv Toulman.
It was pleasing that Jeremy Thompson, Hon Treasurer was able to report the accounts are in an extremely healthy position.
I was delighted to then be elected President to succeed Jeremy Randall. As I said at the meeting we are most grateful for all Jeremy has done in recent years including particularly developing a closer relationship with the school. This has to be a continuing priority as does making the Society even more relevant to members of both sexes as they leave school. |

Sir Roy, who has spent a lifetime in the law, has agreed to share with us some of his most amazing experiences. Because of the eminence of Sir Roy, the Law Society is keen to open up the dinner to all members of the Business Section. We are very privileged to have this opportunity to meet and hear another Cholmeleian who has reached the pinnacle of his profession. Please note that as always the dress code is lounge suits and social partners are most welcome. Please click here to download a booking form. |

Business Matters: The OC Business Section news update, 2008
The recent highlight of the Business Section has been welcoming over 50 OCs as new members. Is this because of the string of excellent speakers at recent dinners, Christian Gysin, Sir Pritpal Singh, Felix Appelbe and Seb Bishop or is it our free membership offer to honour Leslie Chamberlain? |
